Thank you for your interest in joining the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown. We hope you will join us in providing essential emergency services to the greater Middletown community. Our organization is made up of approximately 150 dedicated men and women of all ages and backgrounds who generously volunteer their time and talents to help those in need.

When your application is received, it will be reviewed by our membership director and brought before our Board of Directors. Your name will be read at the next monthly meeting and your application will then be voted on at the following monthly meeting. Our general meetings are held on the second Monday of each month. One of our officers will notify you by phone once your application for membership has been approved and will then set up a meeting to review our membership rules, etc.

Some of the benefits your will be entitled to as a member of the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown include:

• A pension based on years of service, provided at no cost to you. (You must be an active member for ten years to be vested in this pension.)
• A workout gym at the station for your use;
• Emergency training and equipment provided to you at no cost;
• State income tax credit;
• Most importantly, the feeling of satisfaction you get from helping others

Please mail your application to us as soon as possible, or stop by the station to drop it off, take a look around, and meet some of our dedicated volunteers. We look forward to meeting you.
