Tuesday evening June 28, stations 1 & 27 and MPD responded to a call of a vehicle into a building at Ashley Plaza in Middletown.  Units arrived to find a single vehicle had run through the building and stopped in the waiting area of a Beauty Salon.  27-8 established command, since the vehicle was mostly inside the building and there was question as to the stability, 27-8 called for USAR13 special operations unit from Claymont.  USAR13 arrived on scene and began accessing the structure.  The vehicle was removed from the building, USAR 13 crew added wood to the opening to stabilize the structure.  The situation was placed under control.
