Saturday evening January 26th Stations 1&27, 4&24, 29, Ladder 18, and Cecil County station 2 were alerted to a report of a building/structure fire on Choptank road.  Initial reports stated it was a detached garage fire.  Units went onscene with heavy fire showing.  Lt27 was officer on 27-5 and he assumed command.  It was determined that there was ammunition in the garage, and a defensive attack was called by command.  Water supply was established from two hydrants, one north of the scene and one south of the scene.  Firefighters battled the blaze for about 45 minutes, the situation was placed under control.
