At 12:24 Thursday afternoon August 26, 2021, stations 1 & 27 were alerted to assist the Odessa Fire Company with a residential structure fire on Thomas Landing Rd. Units arrived to find the garage area of the structure to be fully involved and worked quickly to extinguish the fire. Firefighters from stations 26, 29, 15 and Kent county 45 also assisted with fire suppression and overhaul while New Castle County medic 10 provided EMS support. At 12:55 the scene was placed under control and turned over to the Delaware State Fire Marshal.
