With a crew in quarters, station 27 was requested to respond to a small grass fire on the canal banks across from the entrance to Lum's Pond campground. 27-1 arrived to find a few acres burning in a remote area of the canal banks. An additional brush piece and engine were requested to the scene for water supply and suppression assistance. Units responding: Brush 27-1 & 1-0, engines 27-5 & Rescue 1
