Monday October 5, 2009 at 08:42 hrs, Stations 1&27 were alerted for an Engine to assist Chesapeake City on a residential fire. Shortly after dispatch, Volunteer Hose Company was re-alerted for an additional engine. Both Rescue 27 and Rescue 1 made the response to assist. Fire department personnel were on scene for about an hour.
