Wednesday October 7, 2009 at 18:42 hrs, Stations 1&27, Station 7,8,9&10 for an engine, Station 3,6&12 for an engine and Cecil County Stations 2&12 for an engine and rescue were alerted for a residential structure fire in the Bay Pointe community. Fire department personnel arrived to find a small mattress fire within a bedroom. The Delaware State Fire Marshals office is investigating. Units responding were Rescue 27, Rescue 1, Tower 27, Engine 27-3, A-27, Engine 10-5 from Aetna, Engine 3-4 from Christiana, Engines 212 and 214 from Chesapeake City and the Delaware State Fire Marshals office.
