Saturday evening at 20:18hrs, the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown was alerted to assist the Chesapeake City Fire Company on a working house fire in the south side of the C&D Canal. Crews from Chesapeake City had the fire knocked down and ventillated upon arrival of units from Middletown. The crews from Tower 27 and 27-5 assisted with checking for extension and minor overhaul before being released by Command.
