An early morning vehicle fire led to the driver of the vehicle being struck by another vehicle along Shallcross Lake Road in Middletown. The Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown was alerted for the vehicle fire at 02:57hrs. While units were enroute to the call, a second dispatch for a Pedestrian Struck at the same location added NCC Paramedics and Trooper 4. The cause of the accident is being investigated by the Delaware State Police.
