Friday morning at 04:33hrs., the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown, along with Odessa and Townsend, were alerted for a residential fire in the 400 block of North Broad Street. Chief Bailey arrived with a smoke condition present from one of the units in the complex. Crews investigated and found a small fire in the attic of one of the units. The Delaware State Fire Marshals office is investigating the cause.
